Guide for parents, payers and sponsors

The parent portal is a page on the school’s timetable site, made for a phone. You need no password: an e-mail address the school knows and a six-digit code are enough. These are the things you do there, one at a time.

  • Works in any browser, on a phone or a computer
  • You see what the student shares with you
  • A payer sees its own invoices in any case

Accept an invitation

  1. Receive it

An adult student invites you from their own portal, or the student office links you to the student and sends the invitation. It comes by e-mail or as a letter with an invitation code.

  2. Open the parent portal

It is on the school’s timetable site; the invitation says where.

  3. Use the code

Press I have an invitation code, type the code and press Sign in with the invitation. It signs you in once. If the school sends a new invitation, the older code stops working.

  1. Type your e-mail address

The address you gave the school — the one the invitation came to. Press Send me the code.

  2. Type the code

A six-digit code comes to that address and is valid for 10 minutes. Type it and press Sign in. Not there? Ask for a new code.

  3. Stay signed in

This device stays signed in until you sign out.

What you see, and why

The page shows one student at a time; with several students linked to you, a switcher above it. Each part — the timetable, upcoming exams, grades, attendance, announcements, invoices — is shown only if you may see it.

  • Of an adult student, the student decides. A parent or a sponsor sees exactly the parts the student has shared; the page says “You see: …”. Until the student shares something, the page says so.
  • A payer sees the invoices addressed to it without the student’s consent, and anything else only if the student shares it.
  • Under the age of majority the school decides what a guardian sees. When the student comes of age, the page waits until the student decides.
  • Your views are recorded, and the student can see them.

Excuse or announce an absence

  1. Open Report or excuse an absence

Choose Excusing an absence (the student was absent) or Announcing an absence (the student will be). The page says how many days back and ahead the school accepts.

  2. Give the days and the reason

The first and last day, or Only some hours for part of a day, and the reason.

  3. Attach a note if you have one

A doctor’s note or another document, as a PDF, JPEG or PNG. It is optional.

  4. Send to the school

The excuse shows Waiting until the school answers, then Accepted or Not accepted with the reason. Withdraw takes it back while nobody has answered.

Pay an invoice

  1. Open Invoices

Each open invoice shows the amount, the due date and what is owed now.

  2. Scan the QR code

Under Pay slip and QR code, scan the code with your bank’s app: the amount and the reference fill in by themselves.

  3. Keep the paper

The invoice opens as a PDF in a new tab. A payment is matched to the invoice by its reference.

Write to the school

  1. Open Messages

Your conversations with the school; press Write to the school for a new one.

  2. Write and send

Give a subject and the message and press Send. The answer arrives in the same conversation.

Questions from parents and payers

Is there an app for parents?

The portal works today in any browser and is made for a phone. The parent mode of the mobile app is built but not in the app stores yet.

Is there a PDF guide?

Yes: the Guide for parents (PDF) - signing in, your child’s page, excusing an absence, messages and parent-teacher meetings - also in Slovenian and Croatian. The help button of the parent portal opens it too.

I see nothing. What is wrong?

Probably nothing: an adult student has not shared anything with you yet, or the school has paused your page. The page says which, and whom to ask.
