What it does not do yet

Said plainly, so nobody finds out in the first week. Each item is also on its module’s page; here they are together, grouped the way a student office works. We do not give dates — tell us what matters to your school, and we will say what it takes.

  • Every item true of the software today
  • Also listed on each module’s own page
  • No dates promised

Records and admission

  • Candidates cannot yet apply to Wise Ed directly, uploading their documents themselves. Applications come from the national application system’s export, from any other spreadsheet, or are typed in by the office. The web enquiry form takes a question and the person’s details, not an application. See admission and enrolment.
  • Theses, issued diplomas and invoices issued by another system are not among the import kinds yet. See data in and out.

Student services

  • Step-free access is counted on the exam record, but the timetable’s planner does not yet warn about rooms with steps.
  • Extended deadlines are recorded as an accommodation but do not yet move coursework deadlines by themselves.
  • Priority in choosing electives is recorded but not yet read when electives are allocated by rank. See accommodations.
  • Members of a commission do not decide on a page of their own yet. The office enters the commission’s decision, and the decision carries the commission’s name. See requests and decisions.

Money and staff

  • Card payment online is not built, and Wise Ed has no fiscal register. A payment taken in cash or by card can be recorded; the screen says that a cash receipt needs a fiscally verified register.
  • Croatia’s HUB-3 payment form is not built; a Croatian school, invoicing in euro, gets the EPC QR code.
  • E-invoices are not signed electronically yet, and are not sent through a provider: the office downloads the XML. See finance.
  • A payroll program’s own import format is not built. The lecturers’ work goes out as an Excel or CSV file, one row per lecturer and kind of work. See lecturers’ work.
  • Lecturers’ availability does not feed automatic timetabling. The planner reads the hand-ins on the office’s screen, beside the timetable. See lecturer self-service.

Communication and the app

  • Push to the Wise Timetable app. Wise Ed prepares every push under the same rules, but the app’s push service does not send Wise Ed’s notices yet. Until then notices reach the inbox and e-mail, and text messages where the school has them. See messages.
  • Parents in the mobile app. The app’s mode for parents is built but not yet in the app stores. Parents use their portal in any phone’s browser.

Other countries

Slovenia is the built example. Elsewhere, what a country requires is built when the first school there needs it.

  • National reporting to another country’s register.
  • Payment slips beyond those already built — UPN QR in Slovenia, EPC QR (used for Croatia) and IPS QR in Serbia.
  • E-invoices in another country’s format; in Slovenia it is e-SLOG 2.0.

Languages

  • Eight of the thirteen office languages await a native speaker’s review — German, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, Lithuanian and Swedish. The screens are in those languages; the words of the newest modules may still read as a first translation.
  • This site in Serbian and Bosnian comes later. The office application already speaks both.

Integrations

  • Wise Ed is not in Zapier’s public directory yet. It is available on request as a private integration. See integrations.

Something you need is not here?

Tell us what your school does today that this page does not cover, before you plan the move. We will say plainly whether Wise Ed does it, how, or what it would take. Ask about Wise Ed, or see the questions schools ask.

Book an online presentation. We will walk through how your student office works today and show you the same job in Wise Ed — with your programmes, not a demonstration dataset.
