Exam blocks
The organising idea is the exam block: a group of examinations handled together, typically a session or a period. A block can be created empty, pre-filled from a file, copied from an existing block with or without its exams, or extended by an incremental import into a block that already exists.
That last one matters more than it sounds. Examination data arrives in instalments, and a system that can only import once forces somebody to reconcile the difference by hand.

How it relates to exam scheduling in Wise Timetable
They answer different questions. Exam Planner is about what the examinations are and when the calendar says they fall. The exam scheduling module inside Wise Timetable is about placing them in rooms without a single student being double-booked — seating plans, invigilators, minimum gaps and student-level clash checking.
Institutions using Wise Timetable generally do not need Exam Planner; it exists for examination offices that build the calendar separately, sometimes for institutions that do not use Wise Timetable at all.
