Everything Wise Timetable does

A complete timetabling system rather than a generator with a catalogue of paid extensions. Every capability below is included in a standard licence — there is no feature tier.

Collecting your data

Getting information into the system, without retyping what you already have.

Importing data

Excel, CSV, XML and REST API import, with ready-made templates and custom mapping to your own file format.

Manual input

Step-by-step entry through a graphical interface, for institutions starting fresh or filling gaps in imported data.

Lecturer availability

Lecturers book their own free hours through the web booking system. Generation then runs directly against it.

Building the timetable

From an empty grid to a conflict-free schedule.

Setting constraints

Working hours, breaks, daily load limits, room locks and distribution preferences — hard rules and soft preferences handled separately.

Automatic generation

A conflict-free timetable in minutes from one click, with locked sessions respected and unallocated items listed clearly.

Optimising results

Compare generated variants, tune the balance between compact and spread teaching, and improve room utilisation.

Conflict detection

Clashes surfaced the instant they are created, with a swap tool that tells you whether an exchange is possible before you commit.

Booking and examinations

Room booking system

Lecturers reserve labs, meeting rooms and consultation slots themselves, restricted to the rooms they are entitled to, with an optional approval queue. Fully integrated with the central timetable so nothing double-books.

Exam scheduling

A dedicated final-examination module with seating plans and invigilator assignment, respecting minimum gaps between papers and student-level clash rules across the whole cohort.

Student attendance

Attendance recorded from a rotating QR code projected in the room or shown on the lecturer's laptop, reconciled against the timetable automatically. No hardware, no register call.

Keeping it current

Modifying timetables

Change rooms, lecturers or programmes with a few clicks, and see the effect propagate across the whole timetable transparently.

Checking availability

See at a glance when a lecturer, room or group is free before you commit to a change.

Reporting changes

Everyone affected by a change is notified automatically, by email and by push notification in the mobile apps.

Substitutions and cover

Handle absence and cover without rebuilding anything: find who is genuinely free, assign or cancel, and notify everyone in time.

Scheduled automation

Recurring server-side tasks that email schedules, push changes to phones, serve live ICS calendar feeds and refresh signage — with no manual step to forget.

Publishing and reporting

Web publishing

Ready-made, searchable timetable pages carrying your branding, ready to link or embed in your own site.

Mobile apps

Native iOS and Android apps with personalised timetables and push notifications, free for students and staff.

Digital signage displays

Departure-board style output for campus screens, updating automatically as the timetable changes.

Web reports

Room utilisation, lecturer workload, unallocated sessions and custom reports, in the browser or exported.

Local output

PDF and Excel output with fully customisable layout and content, for printing, archiving and committee papers.

Email notifications

Automated mass email of personalised timetables and change notices to lecturers and student groups.

Infrastructure and integration

SIS integration and API

A documented REST API for inbound and outbound connections, plus scheduled synchronisation with your student information system, HR system and institutional databases. Single sign-on through Shibboleth and comparable systems.

Cloud hosting

Full cloud hosting on AWS with daily backups and regional distribution for local performance, or complete on-premises installation where data must not leave your network.
