Solutions
Most timetabling software aimed at smaller institutions is a cut-down edition of something else, with the useful features removed. Wise Timetable is the full system at a price a college can justify.
Wise Timetable was designed for enterprise universities. Rather than producing a reduced version for smaller institutions, we set the entry price at €90 per month and give colleges the same feature set — automatic generation, room booking, exam scheduling, mobile apps, API, reporting and full support.
There is no tier that unlocks the constraint engine, no add-on price for the booking system, and no per-student fee. The whole point of the licensing model is that a college is not paying for enterprise infrastructure it does not need, but is not denied capability either.
The constraint that defines a college is not size. It is that timetabling is somebody's second job.
The administration console was designed so an administrator can master it without formal training, with context-sensitive help on every screen. Training is included anyway — three to five days — but the system does not assume a dedicated timetabling department exists.
The IT-less design matters even more here than at a university. Once running, operations are handled by the server and our support team. Your one IT person is not drawn into scheduling.
And support is included in the licence, with a named account manager and second-line issues answered by the development team. Small institutions are usually the ones relegated to a knowledge base and a web form; that is not how we sell.
